Overview
The wonder of hiking in a geode-filled ravine in the Wasatch or Oquirrh Mountains. Summer solstice sunlight slices through the ravine and illuminates the glass at the third level, then the glass at the second level, and finally the glass on all three levels.
Goals
The goal is to celebrate regional beauty with the science of optics.
Process
A collaboration between the architects and the building construction contractors, led to this sculpture.
