Client: Marty and Jenae Cornejo

Overview

A 5' x 5' location was selected by the client. It was a very prominent location at their house, next to the pool and visible through the front door and numerous windows. They knew they'd like to celebrate their sons with the piece.

Goals

The artwork was commissioned by a family who wanted a piece for a brand new house the remodeled. They had the location selected, and they wanted a piece that would celebrate their now adult sons and the relationship they had with each other from childhood.

Process

We met with the clients to look at the space and talk with them about their ideas for it. The clients sent me numerous photos of their sons throughout their lives. I created three maquettes and they selected their favorite.
