Overview
The project specified a 2′ x 8′ installation, glass on metal, with nature elements, to coordinate with existing artwork in other media.
Goals
On this newly built floor of an existing hospital, the Woodland triptych hangs in the family waiting area. The theme was "Inspiration" and along with coordinating with existing artwork, the colors were chosen to be soothing and uplifting. The client had a strong vision, was extremely involved in design decisions, and coordinated on a regular basis through the art consultant with the artist.
Process
The art consultant and client worked out the original scope of the project and invited the artist to create original designs to support their vision. Through each step of the process, agreements were reached between all parties before moving forward. This process allowed the project to come together in a way that remained true to the original vision while accommodating positive changes as the panels evolved.
