Overview

Wind at Ravenswood Slough is a sculptural data visualization showing the speed and direction of the wind at Ravenswood Slough for a 56 hour time period in October of 2014.

Goals

Sourcing climactic data from the NOAA, the twisting form is made up of vertically stacked plywood arrows whose length and direction correlate with observed wind data collected near the site of installation.

Process

Adrien Segal fully researched, designed, and fabricated this site-specific artwork for permanent installation outdoors.
