The underwater flora and fauna look different from sea to sea and is fascinating to observe and study.
The site specific artwork ”UnderVattensVärld” brings the environment from the bottom of the Swedish archipelago into the main entrance at Täby´s new public swimming pool.
The large and impressive mosaic wall is inspired by the colors, which can often be seen in Nordic waters: turquoise, green tones and reddish brown tones. The ”tile painting” is about 70 square meters and spans two levels.
The artwork poetically connects the swimming pool (the man-made water world) with its origin - the rich and natural environment below the water surface.
This beautiful environment we learn to discover and to act in by spending time in a swimming pool.
