Overview
The client, Hampton Inn Avion Park, selected the a body of work celebrating Tampa’s rich history through distinctive depictions of its most recognizable icons. The collection decorates the hotels main lobby, dinning and meeting areas.
Goals
The hotel is located near Tampa International Airport and wish to highlight the travel and aviation connection. Additionally, the work selected celebrates the Tampa Bay area by the artistic display of the region's most iconic landmarks.
Process
The artist, design team and client collaborated on the project tho select local Tampa bay landmarks to feature in the prominent lobby and meeting room locations.
Additional Information
The artwork was created via hand drawn and digital techniques in an illustrative style inspired by classic travel posters, cigar art, and fruit crate labels, all significant parts of Tampa’s visual history.
