Overview

Cast Pyrex glass fountain for Green Hill Tower in San Francisco. This is the private building where George and Dorothy Saxe house their glass collection. Project was commissioned by the architect and the building owner’s group.

Goals

The commissioner and I wanted a quiet place that was serene, even on the sidewalk of a bustling city. I also wanted to test the limits of the pyrex glass used. Located at the top of the hill this fountain needed to withstand high winds. We decided that a tiered design would incorporate all these factors.
