Overview
Over a thousand square plates of reflective aluminum float overhead and move, responding to the slightest air currents in the entrance lobby of a Manhattan office building. Angled plates reflect a variety of light sources in the space, creating ever changing and endlessly varied patterns of light and dark.
11 Times Square, 42nd St and Eighth Ave, NY, NY. Aluminum, Stainless steel. 15’x100’x 30’.
Goals
Activate the lobby space and create a work that would be visible both to those passing on the street and those entering the building.
