Overview
A pixelated terrain and mirrored surfaces capture disconnected
moments in the urban environment. One hundred mirrors reflect a range of
occasions in space and time; a plane overhead, pedestrians on the sidewalk,
or a bus on its daily route. The artwork is created from thousands of uniquely
folded and painted aluminum panels using a formative process similar to
origami. The powder-coated aluminum relief sculpture is mounted on two
sections of the building facade at 1717 Webster Street.
Goals
Architectural integration of a pixelated terrain and mirrored surfaces capture disconnected moments in the urban environment.
