Overview
2000 RECYCLED BOTTLES make a beautiful chandelier and draw attention to the water problem in Newark NJ and to the plastic problem worldwide. In a way this is just a beaded sculpture but rather than beads i used recycled bottles and threaded them onto wires.
Goals
My goal was to draw attention to the clean water crisis in Newark NJ. But in addition to add beauty to the space
Process
I solicited community members to assist me in the collecting of the bottles, and in piecing them for the purpose of threading the onto wire.
