Overview
A simple, colorful and beautiful glass installation was the request by this cancer treatment center in Opelika, AL. With most patients needing to come to receive treatments for cancer, I was asked to create and install this collection of Wall Flowers so that the general quality of the experience was marked by something beautiful. I worked alongside an interior decorator to choose the colors that would work well in the space.
Goals
The goals for integrating artwork in the center was to generate a space of beauty that was handmade and personal. The hospital desired to give patients someting beautiful to look at while they were in such a hard time of their lives.
Additional Information
Over the years, I have designed and crafted several of these Wall Flower collections throughout homes and businesses around the southeast. The designs and installs have ranged with clients, meaning sometimes they are designed with gallery owners, in-house gallery designers, interior decorators working with galleries, or with just me personally. More images are available of some of these other commissions.
