Conduit rods and plastic cups

2014
Goals
Spectrum wind is a sculpture designed to promote the Bonnaroo music festival. It’s
made out of multicolored plastic Solo-cups stacked and attached over a variety waved shaped rods. The shape of the installation resembles a colorful wind blowing through the walls of the airport skylight. It’s playful, whimsical, and psychedelic nature successfully captures the mood of a music festival.
Process
The Nashville Airport has five designated skylights for the Bonnaroo sculptures. After submitting a proposal, the artists are selected by a panel. The Artists then build and install their pieces. Each one is up for a year
