Overview
This sculpture was designed for all the lost lives of the law enforcement officers. Government, state, and city participated in this project The height is approximately 26 ft. tall by 15 ft. wide. Made with LED lighting.
Goals
The goals were to design a piece that would include all three branches of law enforcement. The three towers represent all three branches of Law Enforcement. The flames on each tower burns in memory of each officer's lost life. The base represents the mountains and the places each officer was stationed, with the symbolic thin blue line represented with a blue LED light strip. The eagle represents the guardian looking over the valley in watch. Clutched in its claws is it's shield representing their badges. The flag wrapping the shield representing all of America.
Process
We worked for three years on the design process with the city and state law enforcement, and the city of Las Vegas Art Commission. Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO) helped on the fabrication of the larger portions and installation.
Additional Information
Prior to installation the different branches of law enforcement (from Government, FBI, Military, and law enforcement) placed within the inside of the sculpture are 23 bolts with each fallen officer's name and year were placed in during the dedication ceremony.
