Overview
The works in this exhibit were prepared for my Solo Show at MARC STRAUS in the Lower East Side, Manhattan In May and June of 2015. They are cast bronze, cast iron and gypsum.
Goals
I wanted to present this body of work not so much as a specific project or commission but more as a cohesive effort to illuminate the contrast between way of perceiving and how that might manifest in the sculpted form. The wrapped forms are retreating and isolating themselves, while the smooth forms are distilled or eroded from their original states.
Process
This was a collaborative effort on the part of MARC STRAUS, myself and Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry.
