Client: Chiappetta Shoes

Overview

9-foot diameter by 10-foot tall chandelier with 50 bulbs and 266 shoelast forms from Italy. A great collaborative project with our client to align with their branding and create a one-of-a-kind retail experience. Cold hand rolled 3 in by 3/16 flat stock steel with hundreds of holes drilled and pressure with rivet nuts. These held the custom brackets we welded to the shoelasts so that they would statically hang, rather than dangle.

Goals

We were to activate a retail lobby space and bring a "wow," factor to this new build expansion space for the client's existing building. They wanted something that would compel the patrons to come to visit and then stay to pursue their footwear and other wares. The ultimate goal was to create a statement piece symbolic of the big growth of their building while staying on brand.
