Overview
This project depicts the rural landscape of Northern California and was commissioned by Art Consulting Services for Sutter Hospital in Sacramento, CA. Project is 30ft across by 3ft high composed of 12 wood panels. Oil paint on mixed material composite.
Goals
The desire was to reflect the landscape of the region in a natural and serene manner to create a peaceful and contemplative ambiance.
Process
As the artist I worked though the consultant for this project providing ideas, sketches and site renderings to convey possible approaches. I implemented the necessary technical requirements in specifying the details of the panels to my subcontractor once approved.
Additional Information
I traveled throughout these farmlands, close to where I live, sketching and photographing to capture the natural beauty and sense of openness that is unique to this area.
