Overview
Artwork composed of thousands of wood sticks 1/2″ and 3/4″ in square diameter, mounted on marine plywood forming various patterns. This 156″ wide x 52″ tall x 10″ thick wall sculpture project was created at the direction of a corporation for the common area within their office building.
Goals
The goal was to create contemporary and abstract artwork within the space assigned using the color pallet as described by the client.
Process
The collaboration process was smooth between artist and the client's representative. Once the art was sketched, it was sent to the Client's design team, through their representative for approval. From there, Gil provided multiple color pallet choices and the Client chose what they felt fit the interior best. Artist provided visuals to Client throughout the creation process. Once the project was completed and approved, arrangements were made to install.
