Overview

This proposal for two waiting rooms for Children's Health was done in collaboration with other Skyline Art Services team members. The design idea was for departmental signage for two large existing accent walls in patient waiting areas.

Goals

The existing wall colors were integrated into the design at the client's request including a challenging dark red pediatric Radiology wall. The overall goal was a fun, non-threatening presentation. This necessitated the use of neutral colors and a limited palette. From this, I created the idea of a radio wave pattern flowing through fun animal shapes, demonstrating visually the medical imaging role of the department. Sports medicine required a design to fit the long wall, emulating the movement of sports.

Process

The client was extremely happy with the design even though they had given very little guidance to the art consultant as to design specifics.

These designs were created with the intention of printing on Acrovyn panels.This project is awaiting budgeted funds for installation.
