Overview
The 18-foot tall sculpture adorns 220 glass spikes to a stainless steel lift. The sculpture is installed in the front lawn of the Downtown Olathe Public Library.
Goals
Creating a colorful and sizable sculpture for the front lawn of the public library was the main goal. This piece uses natural light to enhance the colorful glass.
Process
220 blown glass spikes were siliconed to stainless hardware. The blown spikes were hot-attached to copper pipe to allow for easy installation.
Additional Information
This piece was made in conjunction with Leopold Gallery and Art Consulting.
