Overview

Four different relief panels 4ft. x 11ft. that wrap around each floor of the building with images that represented Maryland. Incorporated animals.

Goals

A way of adding ornament to the building in a modern way of simplicity.

Process

The builder originally approached Jack Shehan at Architectural Products about casting relief panels cut with a CNC machine. The test result was unsatisfactory so sculptor Jeff hall was brought in to help with the design and create a softer look The designs went threw many changes.The architect Sean M Stadler, AIA originally wanted scrolled relief panels influenced by Louis Sullivan, The builder was interested in a more modern look and having images that represented Maryland, Incorporating animals. The Art Deco look seamed to please everyone. After the panels were cast they were painted to look like stamped tin.
