Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States
Completion date: 2019
Artwork budget: $60,000
This commissioned artwork hangs in the main lobby of the museum’s new Museum Lab building in a renovated Carnegie Library.
It represents the historic leaded glass that was once in the space as a multi-layered drawing of printed and perforated layers with imbedded lighting. The ornate detail of the concave historic ceiling is rendered as a convex object and Trompe l’oeil illusion floating overhead.
