Overview

As a portal to the University of Kentucky, the Distillery District, and our beloved downtown this bridge needed to be more than a mundane freeway overpass. Our involvement guaranteed the commitment to public art, expressive lines, and appropriate lighting.

Goals

After a nationwide contest, each of the four swooping piers now feature a sculpture called "Origins" by Christopher Weed and below the travel deck, along the Town Branch Trail, there are opportunities for six murals.
