Overview
An entrance mosaic designed to show the movement and vitality of the activities of the University of Iowa's new recreation centre. 13 foot diameter floor mosaic made from hand cut unglazed porcelain.
Goals
The goals of this project were to represent the new sports centre through it's activities. Initial design options were presented to the students and faculty to gauge opinion on the best design.
Process
The design and incorporation of the mosaic works was developed in collaboration with the various partners and monitored by the Universities Arts Commissioning board. The student and faculty were consulted on the design options.
