Overview
Moon Sentinel I is 7 x 4 feet painting in two panels. Numerous translucent layers of oil glazes using mineral pigments over marble dust, and brushed metal on wood. This piece has now found its permanent home in the stunning events place, The Apiary, in Lexington KY after having been used as a 55 foot tall LED light installation at the University of Kentucky.
Goals
The "Moon Sentinel I" was selected for the beautiful Apiary, an events space that already housed an earlier commission, "Ginkgo".
