Overview
20' long by 6' high, portable room divider, fused glass and wood base.
Goals
This commissioned work is in my community synagogue. The goal was to create an airy, artsy, not offending room divider between man and woman, in a synagogue. Two of the requirements were that it should be portable and divided to sections that creates one big art piece, as well as to include kids work.
Process
I worked with kids grade 6th-8th that took my fuse glass elective class. I designed the big picture of the room divider and the kids designed the circles that represents events in the Jewish tradition. Together it creates little window to the Jewish culture.
