Client: Art in Public Places of Palm Beach County

Overview

Lounge was designed as a type of vandalism for the airport waiting area where none is permitted. The artwork is made of Latexite 2X “Airport Grade” Crack Filler for asphalt driveways and was applied by pouring, spreading and splattering the crack filler. The artwork is 10 feet by 6 feet.

Goals

Very important. The Sears curtain was selected to match the fabric wall covering in the waiting area and the artwork is only 1/2 inch away from the wall.

Process

None. Unfortunately, I cannot control the hot spotting caused by the lights.

Additional Information

The artwork was conceived and made in 24 hours. The installation was selected as part of the "art in the airport" program at Palm Beach International Airport.
