Client: Private Collector

Overview

This Legacy Portrait was commissioned as a gift to honor the 80th Birthday of the mother of an art collector. Very specific images(some historical), colors and symbols were specified and agreed to.

Goals

For this project, 150 historical family images were reviewed as well as intimate historical information were used to achieve the finished art. Title: In Smitty's Garden - Everything Grows. Size: 3.5' x 5'. Medium: oil on Canvas.

Process

After selected photos were approved, sketches were created. The collector signed off on the sketch(B/W) and then the actual magic of oil painting commenced.

Additional Information

When the mother of this collector received this painting, she cried tears of Joy and later contacted me stating that "Your art belongs in a museum!"
