Overview
An abstraction of a great oak tree and inspired by mycelium networks, this sculpture was installed in a new Google campus building. This sculpture is made from specialized ecoresin and utilizes a unique engineering method, which helps it span nearly two floors. Stringent architectural standards merge with organic forms to evoke a forest-like feeling specific to the region.
Goals
The goal of the artwork was to work with Google architects and engineers to develop a piece that evokes a forest-like feeling, which was the environmental theme for this particular building.
