Overview

SNA Displays manufactured and installed the BRILLIANT™ Interior LED video display in the lobby of Gensler’s Houston office, which is located in the city’s central business district and is the global architecture firm’s second oldest office. Gensler’s Houston workspace was designed to embrace a full range of work styles to promote the creative process and enhance collaboration and innovation. The office environment represents a shift from a traditional workplace-focused office to a multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary practice.

The canvas of the 1.9 mm LED video wall is 7’4″ tall and 22’3″ long (1,170 x 3,536 pixels), wrapping around a corner to provide a wider viewing experience within the lobby. The screen contains more than 4.1 million pixels and is powered by SNA Displays’ proprietary V3US02 processor. It operates via Gensler’s content management system.

Goals

The high-resolution LED video wall allows Gensler’s Houston team to incorporate rich, dynamic content into their lobby. The display also serves as an effective demonstration to current and prospective clients of the power of digital experiences.

The video display upgrade coincided with Gensler Houston’s 50th anniversary of providing design and architecture expertise in the Bayou City.

Additional Information

The display system also includes a robust audio system with integrated speakers as well as cameras and LED strip lighting elements provided by Diversified. The fine-pitch direct-view LED video wall is similar to the lobby digital centerpiece at Gensler's Austin office, also built by SNA Displays.
