Why is there No Anti-slavery Monument in our nation's capital Washington D.C.? Or anywhere else in the United States for that matter? Why aren't our public monuments meaningful, visionary, humane and truly inclusive?
In a nation that prides itself on monuments and all things monumental as instruments of its grand vision, purpose, and power, there are none.
