Overview

“Lotus Rising” a utility box art commission awarded by the CIty. of Fife WA. This artwork was created to inspire and remind that even from the depths of darkness and difficulty, something beautiful can result and uplift us all.

Goals

Adding a colorful, calming artwork to a congested traffic area. I wanted the image to have visual depth when viewed from the corner angles so each panel had background gradients while the foreground art wrapped around the entire piece.

Process

I provided three design solutions and a public arts commission was awarded to size the artwork for application to the structure. I prepared vector art files at the actual size for application.
