Overview

Celebrating the Essex Street historic market of the lower east side in New York City, a landmark for over 70 years. The design is made to uplift the public with a fresh palette and a vibrant splash of fresh and tropical elements. The mural is 24×200 feet painted with acrylic & spray paint.

Goals

The goal of this project was to bring attention to a historic market. The facade of the 1940's building hid a gem inside that was easily overlooked by the public. The mural is a refashion to reflect the modernity of the market today.
