Overview

A 16 panel grid composed of 8″ x 8″ x 2.5″ paintings of beeswax, resin and pigment on panels. Final installation dimensions: 60″ x 60″ x 2.5″

Goals

With the dinning space on ground floor, and skylights as the light source, these colourful paintings added a window of playful texture. The imagery of landscape presented the idea of open space into an otherwise confined area. The warmth and natural aspect of the material of beeswax incorporates an inherent idea of nature.

Process

The paintings were chosen and edited by the client from a selection of 20. The custom installation was designed incorporate the entire wall as a frame. The client has the option to rearrange the colour patterns when desired.
