Overview
After construction completion of this air-conditioning giant's 4.1 million-square-foot manufacturing, warehouse and corporate office complex, the executives decided the minimalist finish of the original direction was TOO minimalist. Inventure Design was hired to redesign certain elements and areas, and we were brought on to carry the brand throughout the space.
Goals
Daikin wanted the new interiors to reflect their brand and their product line. As manufacturers of AC units, they condition and move air. The concept here was to convey the idea of fluid movement down a long corridor. Words expressing the company ideals were added in key locations.
Process
The wave wall was just a piece of the overall project. Other elements included a company history video wall nearly 100 yards long, as well as a Welcome video wall and kinetic sculpture in the lobby.
