Overview

Coventry Cross. Screen printed ceramic enamels and gold leaf on laminated glass. Approximately 12 square meters.

Located on the original site of the first cross in Coventry city centre, a replica of the16th century monument with new stained glass and a statue of King Henry VI. The monument is located in its original position directly outside of Trinity Church Coventry.

Goals

The new glass design had to marry the traditional with the contemporary to create harmony with the old and the new. The new glass scheme tells the history of the medieval market cross and the life of King Henry VI
