Overview
The golden sunset at the top of the design, and a salmon swimming upstream at the bottom is connected by an abstract forest of green leaf foliage and spiked pine needles all associated with the Pacific Northwest. Each symbol corresponds to icons in both cultures.
Goals
This was for an affordable housing project. The composition is comprised of little houses and birds as a representation of the immigrants moving into the area.
Process
Inspired by the Pacific Northwest for my imagery. I met with the director and staff of the Hacienda Development Corp, an affordable housing company. They requested that I add houses to my design along with birds to represent immigrants moving into the area. It was a great collaboration and made some changes and they were very pleased with the result.
