Overview
The design demonstrates the momentum and power of the cable industry. It measures 6' in diameter and is housed in the library at the Cable Center in Denver, Co. Stained glass and dalles de verre hand-chipped chunks of glass.
Goals
I was commissioned "to fill the space". There were 5 designs created and the client was allowed to choose the favorite. I was provided a strip of cable for inspiration. The circle represents that cable and the rectangle represents the TV/phone/computer that will receive the images. The cable extends beyond the rectangle into the universe.
Process
The client who provided the window as a gift to the Cable Museum was an HBO executive and a board member of the Cable Center. She chose the design from a total of 5 designs submitted.
