Overview
16’ x 20’ mosaic mural created as a legacy space inside the Milwaukee Youth Art Center. The project was a participatory mural project with the performing arts students of the Milwaukee youth art center. It is created from ceramic tile and fused glass. The flowers represent the exponential growth of the youth through their arts programs at Milwaukee Youth Art Center. The prophetic words, You Will Make A Difference, of Dick Burke, whom the space is dedicated to, serve as a reminder to all that each person matters and individual efforts make a difference.
Goals
The goal was to beautify an interior common space while being inspirational
Process
Working with the staff, and the youth Board of the Milwaukee Youth Art Center, designs were created and the project executed together.
