Overview
At One emphasizes peace and safety, taking its inspiration from the Adinkra symbols used in Kente cloth designs. These symbols have been used for hundreds of years as an ancient African writing system of verbal and visual imagery and are on display at Old Dillard Museum. Two of these symbols (Adwo and Fihankra) are merged together into a cohesive sculptural form.
