Overview
During a studio visit here in DC, ” Flamenco House,” a suite of paintings about movement and transition, was selected by Anne Marchand in collaboration with Crystal City Business Improvement District. High resolution enlargements were keenly rendered from my work onto ten-foot square Dibond panels, and mounted onto the back wall of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The vibrant color and composition adds distinction and energy to the space.
Goals
“Crystal City is a gallery and the area’s walls are the canvases,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of the Crystal City BID. “Art Walls showcases uniquely designed work in a manner that leads to fun, whimsical, and interesting spaces and creates enthusiasm among Crystal City’s guests, residents, and employees.”
Process
The artist worked with the BID to select and license a selection of three paintings high resolution digital imagery and installation on an exterior space on 20th street.
Additional Information
The artwork is visible to the residences, pedestrians, guests and to car traffic on the way to the national airport on 20th Street in Arlington, Virginia.
