Overview
Chandeliers for Park West Town Centre. These suspended artworks reference the primary entry sculpture and help lead visitors through the new mixed-use development. The surface patterns reflect the surrounding natural ecosystem of the Capilano River and Cleveland Dam.
Goals
These sculptures integrate nature and new technology with an overall theme of innovation and new experience. Blessing’s artistic design created a signature, multi-sensory (light, shadow, colour) art series with different daytime and dusk-to-dark experiences. The three pieces highlight the area’s unique location and ties to the local ecosystem. “I believe these artworks offer Park West visitors a new way to live with art - a way in which art enriches the human experience and creates an atmosphere of participation, curiosity and connection to community.” says Hancock.
