Comprised of custom-dyed rope in six hues, this custom-designed, site-specific artwork is installed in a private home. Spanning 3 stories along a whitewashed brick wall, the ropes travel from embedded hardware hubs located at the top and bottom of the wall. Geckler utilized the architecture of the staircase to create the geometric pattern, ricocheting the rope around and between the steps.
Geckler worked in conjunction with art consultant, Anne Mennealy, and Andrew Patterson of Patterson Custom Homes to integrate the artwork's anchoring hardware into the brick façade, concealing all connection points inside of the wall.
