Overview
Postage stamps on aluminum, 228”L x 46”W x 3”D.
Goals
The goal was to inspire and energize employees and visitors to see the commonplace in a new way. “Aéré” was inspired by molecular images of a new material developed by the client. The mosaic is made from international postage stamps which echoes the client’s international presence.
Process
The artist, Peter Hite was given the goals of the artwork. After researching the client, a textile company he created concepts based on microscopic views of the company’s progressive materials.
Additional Information
The client wanted the concept of the artwork to be so simple that anyone could tell the story behind it.
