Overview
The painting is comprised of concrete and metal paint with deliberate intention to use these materials in connection to the concept this painting is about. The intentional coloration of the iron to attain various colors of rust stages coupled with oil paint to create a luminous contrast of sheens in both mediums. A visual connection to the steel, iron, and “concrete jungle” structures we are surrounded by in the city that have slowly pervaded the natural environment all around earth. The aqua hanging jade vine cascading through the city bringing awe and delight reminding us all that we must have balance with technology, create structures that cohabit with the earth that sustains us, that we sustain her in a respectful exchange of energy and resources. Hope is the Hope that humans will change their ways of destruction to a life that is sustainable for all life on earth.

Additional Information
This painting was sold the night of the art exhibit's opening a woman visiting from Dallas. I feel it represents my style as a painter. Expressionistic, movement, botanical, earthy, a colliding of urban and rural.
