Overview
“Dream It Be It” is an interactive touch sensor mural that takes a two-dimensional wall and turns it into a three-dimensional experience. We collaborated with Sebastian Coolidge to create a mural that was about dreaming and inspiring that anything is possible. As people walk up to the wall and touch it they trigger different sounds and instruments. The mural also is a large game of eye spy that gets the user engaging with the entire 20′ high mural.
Goals
The goal was to create a piece within the Glazer Children's Museum that would inspire kids to dream. We wanted to break the no-touch rule that is constantly implemented with art. We accomplished this by using touch sensor technology to bring the space to life and get people playing and interacting with the piece through the playful act of creating together.
Process
For this design, we worked closely with the museum and Sebastian to develop a dream-like illustration that we could bring to life through touch sensor technology.
