Overview
Puerto Ricans and tourists alike came out every evening to enjoy the multiple viewings of this 3d Mapping Projection piece onto the UNESCO World Heritage site of La Fortaleza in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is the Governor’s Mansion, where the Governor resides. The piece celebrated Puerto Rico, its beauty, its unique Holiday customs, like the Parranda, Bomba, Miss Puerto Rico, and the Three Kings. It also commemorated Old San Juan’s 500 year anniversary.
La Fortaleza (strength), the name of the street its located and also the name we call this building, has been the site of many protests these past few years, where Protesters have inundated this street in the past few years demanding their voices be heard. But at this time, in this magical repose through the consecutive two months this piece was presented, La Fortaleza filled with all types of people, from all around the world, standing together in unity, peace, and celebration of all that unites us as Puerto Ricans and why Puerto Rico is so special.
