Swiss-born and raised artist Roger Reutimann has led a diverse and creative life since childhood. The 500-year-old former farmhouse where he grew up provided the ideal environment to nurture and foster his passion for transforming his imagination into three-dimensional objects. As a multidisciplinary artist, he is driven by an insatiable curiosity and desire to acquire knowledge and skills within the realms of the arts and popular culture. He earned his MA in sculpture from the University of the Arts, Zurich, and holds a degree from the Music School Zurich Conservatory. He graduated from the Culinary Institute Belvoirpark Zurich and later ventured into designing and producing limited edition collections of hand-crafted light fixtures for his own design company. Following his tenure at Art Basel, he dedicated five years to organizing art exhibitions for FORUM International Art Fairs in Zurich, Hamburg, and Dusseldorf, where he held the position of COO. In 1996, he moved to Miami Beach, where he realized his aspiration of hands-on designing and building a dream home, which was featured in Architectural Digest magazine. Simultaneously, he pursued studies in painting and sculpture. In 2008, he made the transition to become a full-time artist. Starting this year, he has shifted his focus entirely towards the creation of public art, using his unique background and skills to create innovative and original works of art.
