Rodney Leon, principal of Rodney Leon Architect PLLC has an architectural background as a designer on a diversity of building types in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Leon has focused his professional efforts and developed an expertise in Memorialization, Master Planning and Urban Development. He is an advocate for a philosophy of “Culturally Contextual” contemporary design which integrates culture and history into the process of making architecture and public space. Mr. Leon is the designer of the African Burial Ground Memorial and The "Ark of Return" United Nations Memorial to the Victims of Slavery and the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
