Profile Type: artist
Over the past 20 years Stanton has developed a unique visual language informed by historic layers, mythology, and universal symbols. Employing these elements he seeks to draw parallels between past narratives and contemporary human challenges such as climate change, environmental conservation, and the human relationship to nature. The expression of these ideas manifests in different mediums including painting, mosaic, stained glass, animation, and most notably, murals. As of today, he has created over 60 public artworks in 25 cities across 16 countries. Notable project partners include the Nature Conservancy, Albright Knox Museum, Times Square Arts, When We All Vote, The World Trade Center, PangeaSeed Foundation, The Explorers Club, The US Embassy to Italy, Wynwood Walls, and The Atlantic Magazine.
