In anticipation of the opening of our new Sharon Public Library in 2025, the Sharon Public Library Foundation is delighted to announce the Sharon Public Library Mural Project. With a generous gift from the Friends of the Sharon Public Library, the Foundation will invite an artist to create a mural about Sharon reflecting our history and our future to greet visitors as they enter the new library.

The Foundation has several goals for this project:

1- To provide an exciting visual experience as visitors enter the lobby of our new library

2- To place the library at the nexus of community activities in Sharon and speak to the town’s natural beauty, its environment, and the diversity of its residents.

THE FINISHED WORK

The final work can be either:

1- directly painted in acrylic paint on a rigid support and delivered to the library, which will be responsible for installation.

2- painted, photographed, and digitized. The electronic file will be delivered to the library, which will take responsibility for the final printing on vinyl film and installation.

The mural must measure 84” wide by 90” high.
